Twist out won’t turn out?
Have you ever put in extra effort to make sure everything is done right, just for things to come out looking all wrong? So what do you do when you’ve given it your all and the outcome isn’t what you imagined? Here are a couple of tips to ward off disaster and cope with results that just don’t measure up to your expectations, because… hair, like life, just does that sometimes.
Tip 1: Whether you’re applying product to wet or dry hair, help twists, or braids hold shape and define curl patterns with products that provide soft, frizzless form like our strengthening Twisting Pudding. Apply evenly from root to tip, with special consideration for your ends. Smooth and hydrated ends create a finished look and polished shape that divert disaster.
Tip 2: Make sure your hands are moist with a light finishing oil, but NOT WET. Wet hair is the arch enemy of a twist or braid out. The infusion of Black Seed oil in our products will provide plenty of shine.
Tip 3: Resist the urge to touch! Don’t go crazy over fluffing, pulling or separating. Lift from the root with a pick or large toothed comb, but don’t disturb the curl. Your hair will naturally fluff a bit throughout the day. Set the style and let nature handle the rest.
Tip 4: And probably the most IMPORTANT. If it doesn’t look the way you planned. DON’T PANIC. Accept it. Sometimes it doesn’t dry completely, or a twist unravels and falls flat. Add a pin or clip to add flare and go forth with confidence. No one else knows how it was “supposed” to look.
